Dispersal Order in place over concerns regarding potential large-scale unauthorised car meet
Crime / Sat 31st May 2025 at 01:21pm
A DISPERSAL order is set to be put in place covering Harlow and Epping following concerns raised over a potential large-scale unauthorised car meet.
This follows similar recent events in the area which resulted in vehicles driving at excessive speeds and carrying out dangerous manoeuvres.

Officers policing our county’s roads work every day to ensure the safety of the public.
This order gives officers the powers to direct people suspected of being involved in this activity to leave the area or face arrest, and not return to the area for 48 hours.
The order will have no impact on law-abiding road users and members of the public.
It commences from 6pm on Saturday 31 May, running until 6am on Sunday 1 June.
Officers are out in key locations across both districts to enforce the order and keep the public safe.
We won’t tolerate dangerous driving which puts lives at risk.
