Police issue appeal for stolen bicycle in The Stow area

OFFICERS investigating the theft of a bicycle in Harlow are releasing an image in the hopes of seeing it recovered.
The bike, pictured, was stolen from a communal garden in the area of Orchard Croft, at around 12.30pm on Thursday 22 May.

It has fairly distinctive markings and colours. If you’ve seen this bicycle in the area, or seen it advertised for sale, please do reach out to us.
The bike has been described to us as a yellow Teman, with thin road bike wheels and a yellow rim around the wheels.

Between March 2024 and March 2025, 84 bicycles were stolen. Four were recovered.
Just 4 out of 84 stolen bicycles recovered. A recovery rate of 4.8%. The thieves have a slim chance of being caught and the police only recover them when they trip over them. Essex Police need to up their game
