Harlow Fire Station set to hold exciting open day

ON Saturday 14 June, Harlow Fire Station is hosting an open day. Come and meet our team, explore our fire station and find out more about how we work to keep Harlow safe.
Come along from 10am until 3pm.
There will be a quiet hour between 10am and 11am to support a more accessible and relaxed experience for visitors and children who may find the environment challenging. There will be no sirens or flashing lights and the team will keep noise levels to a minimum.
12pm – Live band
1pm – Live fire demonstration
2pm – Live band
Other activities include:
– Meeting Albert, our Essex Therapy Dog
– Spraying water on the fire house
– Ice cream van
– Face painting

It was a really fun day.There was a children's face painting stall and a cadets stall.They sold you fire engines with real wheels. There was a fire brigade lady showing the kids how to put out a toy house with a Painted fire and ice-cream van a police car , ambulance fire engines. A technical team.A band with live music. I had my face painted. And my mum said it was beautiful. Well done it was a great day for children and adults. I thoroughly enjoyed myself. Thankyou for encouraging me to get my face painted.MR fireman in charge. I had as much fun as I could.Also some interesting chats about health from the red cross team and he tool section man was very inspiring . I always have a good time at these events,well done again for the live band. It is a shame there aren't many.The children loved the stickers (me too lol). A bright light blues and twos.

And of course it was remiss of me not to mention the beautiful therapy dog.He worked very hard and was still going when I left it was a really hot day too.🥰
