RAYTHEON UK has been awarded the Gold Employee Recognition Scheme award by the Ministry of Defence. The award is in recognition of Raytheon UK’s ongoing commitment to the armed forces community and their support for the Armed Forces Covenant.

The award was presented to Raytheon UK by Ian Twinley MBE, His Majesty’s Deputy Lord-Lieutenant of Essex to coincide with the company’s annual Armed Forces Day celebration event.
“Supporting the armed forces community, both through the work we do and as they enter civilian life is a critical part of our culture,” said James Gray, managing director and chief executive of Raytheon UK. “Veterans have a huge pool of expertise and values that align with our mission and help us deliver the best service for our customers.”

Raytheon UK maintains close ties to the armed forces community in the region through employee and recruitment initiatives that support veterans re-training and re-entering civilian life. To achieve the award, the company proactively demonstrated their forces-friendly credentials in recruitment and selection processes, encouraged a positive environment for Reservists and be an exemplar in demonstrating support to the Cadet movement, mentoring cadets in key employment skills through its flagship Quadcopter Challenge competition.
“It’s great to know there is so much support for the armed forces at Raytheon UK and within Harlow” said Chris Vince, Member of Parliament for Harlow. “Those who serve our country deserve the best support throughout their career, and Raytheon UK delivers this through their work and through supporting the community at all stages.”
Raytheon UK was first recognized for the Gold award in 2018 and has retained the status yearly, which is attributed to the company’s dedication to supporting veterans and the armed forces community. Raytheon UK is the first defence company to be accredited with a Gold certification, showcasing it as a place veterans and current armed forces members can thrive.

This will upset the lefties. The truth, of course, is that wars are evil. However, until they end we need to be able to ensure that the mostly civilized Western countries are able to win. The UK was very much a war mongering nation, there aren't many periods pre WW1 that the U k wasn't fighting an overseas war. That seems to have changed, ironically I feel the only way for the Ukraine war to end is if the Europeans, us included, actually put troops into Ukraine..Btw, I believe Ratheon have significantly contributed to aviation safety.
Perhaps, they could donate a couple of billion to PAH 1.
