why does it say thunderstorms for Harlow and then give the weather for Thurrock?

If this is the new norm it would be nice if Essex Highways cleaned and repaired the drains. Walk around most streets in Harlow and there are drains filled to the brim with dirt and debris that probably haven't been gully sucked and flow tested for years.

Also the Environment Agency could do a bit more ditch clearing along the smaller roads leading into villages just outside Harlow, or maybe the local farmers could start ditch clearing after the harvest like they used to and prevent all the rubbish getting caught and blocking the culverts and therefore flooding the roads as happened in Churchgate Street two years ago.

Man the Pumps,, Essex CC cant repair a road properly let alone keep the drains good. Momples rd. Sealed the road surface but left bits and not repaired or replaced speed humps

Well after all the News Channels pushing the "AMBER ALERT" turns out it was heavy rain. I have yet to see any stories reporting the flash floods, danger to life, power cuts etc etc.
