Epping St John’s celebrate A Level results

AFTER two years of striving for excellence in their studies, our Sixth Form students returned to Epping St John’s today to receive their exam results.

Both Year 12 & 13 students gathered together to await their envelopes after taking their exams earlier this summer.


Nearly all students achieved grades between A* and C, setting a strong foundation for their future studies and careers.


The highest achieving Year 13 students this academic year are:

Daniel Bobo achieved AAA and is now due to attend Manchester University to study Economics
Izabelle Horne received grades AAA. She has been offered an apprenticeship at the Royal Stock Exchange. Evie Cooper achieved AAAA. She is now off to Cardiff University to study English & History. Toby Halliwell achieved AAA. He will attend Kings College London to study Neuroscience. Jasmine Johnson achieved AA*AA. She will now attend Loughborough University to study Sports and Exercise Science.

Lara Machin received grades AAA. She will be studying Communication and Media at Leeds University.
Caitlin Sanders received grades AAA. She will now study History at Sheffield University.
Thomas Shelley achieved AAAA. He is now off to Leeds University to study Maths.
Oliver Unwin received grades AAA. He will attend Leeds University to study Maths.

These results will allow for this cohort to advance to a variety of further education or job opportunities in their chosen subjects.

Mike Yerosimou, Headteacher & Flora Christofi, Deputy Headteacher, Head of Sixth Form said: “We are delighted with our A-level results this year, marking the highest levels of achievement since our sixth form started.

“Our students have made exceptional progress in relation to target grades this year. Our students have worked so hard for these results. They are ambassadors for ESJ and a wonderful example to all younger student who have so much to aspire to.

“These results are testament to our commitment to providing the very best teaching staff and maintaining a nurturing environment that enables every student to reach their full potential.

“As an inclusive sixth form, we are particularly proud that these achievements demonstrate how all students can excel when given the right support and opportunities.”
