A FORMER pupil at St Mark’s West Essex Catholic School is starring for England in the Under-17 World Cup in Qatar.

Ryan MacAidoo plays for Manchester City. He has yet to make his full debut but he has appeared on the bench.

Ryan was part of the Colchester Academy before being spotted by Chelsea and then on to Man City.

He has represented his country at Under 16, Under 17 and Under 18.

England lost their first game against Venezuela 3-0 but came storming back with an 8-1 win against Haiti.

Their next game is on Tuesday against Egypt.
