Police appeal after three vehicle serious collision

ESSEX Police are currently on the scene of a serious collision in Epping.
A spokesperson said: “We were called to the three-vehicle collision in Epping Road at just before 7pm.
The road is currently closed in both directions between Coopersale Common and Thornwood Road while emergency services work at the scene.

The collision involved a van, a motorbike and a car. The motorcyclist has been taken to hospital in a serious condition with what have been described as life-changing injuries.
Investigators are trying to locate the van which failed to stop at the scene. It is believed to be a Grey VW Caddy with the index DE72 NVD.
We ask the driver to come forward as a matter of urgency.
