In Harlow, campaigning continues. See below.

Well done Wales! Superb.
Is Greyhound racing crueler than horse racing?
If we banned horse racing what would happen to all those jockeys?
Wonderful news in Wales and Scotland! England next 🙏
This is indeed a truly amazing week for Greyhounds and signals that the end is nigh for this outdated form of animal abuse. Last night Scotland also voted on a greyhound racing ban! As an ardent campaigner with Shutdown Campaigns and Animal Aid against Greyhound racing, I have witnessed some horrific accidents, so I truly welcome this news! I recently asked questions in council about Harlows greyhound track and have followed up with email evidence; video footage and injury statistics, but have yet to hear back from either councillor contacted. We have footage of many of the accidents occurring at Harlow track so far this year and will have them available for the public to view at our outreach stall on March 29th. Thank you Your Harlow for highlighting the Wales ban and advertising our outreach stall at the same time. Much appreciated!
Welcome news indeed. The 'wastage' rate in this industry is shocking... thousands more dogs bred for racing than can be found homes if they are not fast or keen enough or get injured or just slow down...then pushed into the overburdened rescue sector...or just disappear. If the dogs were loved as is claimed, none would ever be discarded when no longer of use for making money or thrills for humans. Yes they love to run, but racing is something very different.
Horrific injuries occur in many sports - football, rugby, even cricket and as we saw recently, the Olympics. Let’s ban all sports. Let’s go one step further. Cars. They’re dangerous. Banned. Flying? Gone. Fast food restaurants. Closed.
SR- Clearly the major difference here is that humans make the choice to play rugby, football, cricket, fly, ride bikes, eat fatty foods and drive fast cars etc....nobody forces humans to take part in these activities- we make that choice accepting and understanding the risks....dogs dont have that luxury to be able to provide consent!
SR - a truly moronic argument, I would highly recommend engaging brain before posting in future. Either that or just admit you're one of those freaks that tortures animals and be on your way.
