From Fine Art to Flashdance: Farewell to Toni at The Gibberd Gallery

Entertainment / Tue 14th Apr 2026 at 07:10am

AT the end of March a surprise farewell presentation was organised for Toni.  After three years with Harlow Art Trust, first as their Volunteer Co-ordinator & Administrator and then as our Operations Manager, Toni has made a huge impact in building our Volunteer Programmes, putting in new systems to support the running of the Gibberd Gallery and the Trust. She will be much missed but has promised not to be a stranger.

She was presented with a giant fake wooden perfume box, craftily made by volunteer Caroline. Inside was a voucher that she will be using to purchase new tools for her new creative career challenge as a welder.

A Fond Farewell from Toni

“Over the past three years, it has been a privilege to be part of Harlow Art Trust. I would like to extend my sincere thanks to everyone involved.

To colleagues, volunteers and trustees, past and present, thank you for your generosity, insight, and support. I am also grateful to our visitors, particularly the regulars, all the artists, creatives I have worked with and our partners, including Parndon Mill, where I am now based as an artist. These relationships have been a valued and important part of my time here.

Working at Harlow Art Trust has been a rewarding experience, and I have greatly appreciated being part of the organisation and the wider Harlow community.

Thank you all, and I wish you every success for the future.”
