EMERGENCY services were called to a two vehicle road traffic collision on Edinburgh way.

The collision occurred at 2pm on Edinburgh Way near to the Kentucky Fried Chicken.

The collision was between a black Rover Freelander and a blue Ford Fusion.

A woman was trapped in the Ford car.

She was released by fire crews with reported neck and shoulder injuries.

At the time, the whole road was closed off but it has now (1515 hrs) been re-opened.
