IN A FAR corner of Harlow, high up on Potter Street, members of the armed services, along with members of the public came together to fall silent and remember the signing of the armistice on November 11th, 1918.

Across town, outside the civic offices in The Water Gardens, the chair of Harlow Council, cllr Linda Pailing led a service that included the last post, two minutes silence and a verse recital.
