Wednesday 18 December 2013, I went back to my former school, St Mark’s, to celebrate the richly diverse nature of the school during the evening where an outstanding show was put on by the students.
Students, parents and the community were invited to wear their national dress or clothing in the colour of their national flag to the show. The students presented an eclectic programme of song, music and dance to an enthusiastic audience of family and friends to welcome their wonderful culture in to the school.
It was a wonderful evening enjoyed by all, and I would like to thank everyone who came along to watch, and the students who performed and the production team, for making it a great success.
St Marks is a place full of diversity, cultural and traditions, and they never cease to amaze me in the way they promote this. It was an absolutely wonderful show that really touched my heart and got me involved with new cultures that are in our community.
I am looking forward to attend more multi-cultural shows put on at St Mark’s, proud to be once as St Mark’s student.
