Flood warning for the Stort

THE ENVIRONMENT Agency has issued the following warning for The River Stort in Harlow.

Location:The River Stort at Harlow including Roydon
Following the overnight rainfall, the River Stort at Harlow is rising and is not expected to peak until mid afternoon. The river levels are expected to be higher than those seen on Saturday 1st February.
Property flooding is possible for those properties closest to the river. There will be flooding of low lying land and roads.
Further showers are forecast during the day and overnight. We will continue to monitor the situation and update this message if the situation changes. This information will be updated this evening.
