CHURCH Langley residents are up in arms over trees planted as part of the Olympic legacy that mean children cannot play sport on the field.

The field in question is outside Henry Moore school on Kiln Lane.

The trees were planted by Harlow Council as part of an Olympic legacy scheme.

The only problem appears to be is that this area was always popular with the children who wanted to play football.

The residents felt they have not been listened to.

YH spoke to local resident, Jenny Spacagna, who explained why they were unhappy.

Update: Since we spoke to Jenny, we believe that Harlow Council has agreed to re-locate the trees.

Either way, it looks like a win-win. A common-sense council and community activism in Church Langley.
