Upwards with Downs to go to the dogs
Charity / Mon 29th Feb 2016 at 05:03pm
UPWARDS with Downs are holding a charity night at Harlow Dog Stadium to raise money and awareness.
The charity, based in Greygoose Park, Harlow, which supports sufferers of down’s syndrome and their families, raised £3,000 through the event last year.
Anyone is welcome to enjoy the night of betting in aid of a good cause.
Held over World Down Syndrome Week, the charity night will take place on Saturday, March 19. Tickets include a race card with a drink and cost £5 for adults in advance or £7.50 on the door. Children under-16 have free entry.
The money raised will help to fund a years’ service of provision and support to help children to reach their potential for a whole year.
After starting life as a support group in 2011, Upwards with Downs took on charity status in 2014 and regularly supports 40 families from across the town.
