THERE was a delicious celebration cake greeting children and staff at the Kiddi Caru day nursery in Harlow recently, when they marked the nursery’s 12th anniversary with a unique Christmas cake and birthday cake rolled into one.

The cake was made by Natalie Wright, the nursery’s talented on site chef, who decorated one half with a birthday design and the other with a beautiful festive scene. The children enjoyed tucking into it whilst having a fancy dress party to mark the occasion, complete with lots of party games.

Louise Farrow, Nursery Manager, said: “Natalie is a fantastic chef and she really outdid herself with this year’s Christmas and birthday cake. We can’t believe we’ve been open for 12 years now, the time flies by so fast, especially when you consider all of the children we have cared for in that time. The party was wonderful and it was lovely to see all the children having fun whilst enjoying Natalie’s fabulous cake.”
