Get into walking in Harlow
Communities / Tue 7th Mar 2017 at 06:19am
HARLOW Council is working in partnership with Active Harlow and Walking Health to provide Volunteer Walk Leader Training.
The training is being delivered as part of the Active Harlow Social Strollers programme of led walks, which is accredited by Walking for Health.
The training session will be held at the Learning Centre next to Pets’ Corner in the Town Park, on Tuesday 14 March 2017 at 9.30am. While there is no charge for attending the training, in return, it is asked that you already, or intend to shortly, deliver Walking for Health accredited walks. If you are going to deliver walks in Harlow it is hoped that you will do so as part of the Active Harlow Social Strollers programme.
The session will involve going out on a short walk so if you are attending please make sure you bring weather-appropriate clothing and footwear.
Spaces on the course are limited to 16.
For more information and to book a place please email Andrew Milward at [email protected] – deadline for booking is Friday 10 March 2017.
