Harlow company MTR snapped up by listed group

A HARLOW-based company which specialises in the refurbishment of mobile phones and tablets has been snapped up by a listed group reports Insider Media
DCC plc, the international sales, marketing and business support services group, has acquired MTR Group for an undisclosed sum.
Based in Harlow and employing 60 staff, MTR is described as a fast-growing provider of second lifecycle solutions for mobile and tablet devices.
The company partners with retailers, mobile handset manufacturers and insurance companies to source and refurbish mobile phones and tablets for resale to customers in the UK and abroad.
In the year to 30 November 2016, MTR generated revenues of £11m.
DCC Technology said the acquisition of MTR advances its strategy of expanding its service proposition to vendors and customers and “provides access to the high growth second lifecycle solutions market”.
