HARLOW Fire station opened its doors to the public on Saturday.

The public flocked to the station on Fourth Avenue, Harlow to be entertained by a variety of stalls and activities.

Youngsters naturally flocked to the seat of the fire engine, where they could look around and see the workings of a fire engine.

Some of the firemen really showed they could take the heat as they manned the barbecue!
