HARLOW LABOUR were out in force at the weekend to celebrate the 65th anniversary of the NHS.
Prospective parliamentary candidate, Suzy Stride was joined by a number of Labour councillors as well as union officials and health workers.
Suzy Stride said: “We are here to celebrate the 65th anniversary of a wonderful, wonderful organisation. But at the same time, we have a number of concerns that extend from the the large numbers of nurses lost to the NHS to the horrendous waiting times at A and E depts.
“I have been down to Princess Alexandra Hospital and have nothing but praise for the staff there but it is the government that we need to be targeting and challenging.”
