A WOMAN was in hospital after a two car smash near The Stow.

Ambulance crews were called at 9am this morning (Tuesday) to First Avenue at the junction of Howard Way after reports of a collision.

Fire crews were also in attendance to cut the woman free from the wreckage.

A woman was taken to Broomfield Hospital, Chelmsford for treatment.
