STUDENTS from Mark Hall School in Harlow held a BAKE SALE and donated the proceeds to Harlow Foodbank. They raised an incredible £118.55.
A spokesperson for the school said: “Please find attached the photos of the girls and boys who took part. The person who came to me with the idea was a year 7 girl by the name of Holly Powell.
“She had been inspired by an assembly given by the Vice Principal on child poverty. She wanted to organise a bake sale and get the school involved. Without year 10s – who had been out on work experience, and year 11s who have now left, we managed, in less than two weeks, to organise, bake, and collect over 200 cakes making a profit of £118.55 – thanks to the generosity of staff and pupils.
