NEXT Wednesday The Playhouse will be showing the Eyestrings Theatre Company’s reworking of Johns Webster’s The Duchess of Malfi.

Originally written in 1612, the play tells the tragic story of a Duchess who marries below her class and her family’s attempt to extract revenge for this betrayal. Despite its age, the themes of love, honour and family are timeless and Eyestring theatre company are set to bring it bang up to date for the modern audience.
