Running: Sean inspired by dirt

HARLOW Running Club members had a productive time at last weekend’s Gunpowder Parkrun 5K at Waltham Abbey, with all four runners improving their personal best time for the distance, and one new club record achieved.
Leading the way was Terry Pike finishing in 21st place out of 74 finishers in a superb 24min 15sec. He was followed home by
Debbie Barry 25th in 24min 56sec, Peter Mills 36th and 1st Vet 60 in 26min 13sec to create a new HRC Vet 65 record and Jane Evans 38th in 26min 34sec.
At the Chelmsford Parkrun 5K Janice Page finished in 77th place out of 275 finishers and 1st female Vet 50 in an excellent 23min 41sec and she was followed by husband David 86th in 24min 13sec.
At the Dirt Inspires Trail Half Marathon run over a demanding course at Leighton Buzzard Sean Flynn finished in 127th place out of 479 finishers in a commendable 1hr 45min 38sec.
