A DRIVER has died following a road crash at Hatfield Heath.

Emergency services were called to Pond Lane at about 11.10pm on Friday, November 29 after a car left the road and collided with a tree stump.

The driver, a man from the Bishop’s Stortford area, suffered serious injuries. He was taken to Princess Alexandra Hospital, Harlow but died on arrival.

Pond Lane remained closed for about five hours while police investigation work was carried out.
