HARLOW COUNCIL have gone to the courts to once again apply for an eviction notice against a group of travellers who have pitched on land.
As reported on Wednesday, the group of ten caravans have settled on a field opposite St Marks school in Tripton Road in Harlow.
Portfolio Holder for Youth & Citizenship, Councillor Emma Toal said: “We continue to follow the legal process and a hearing date of Wednesday 11 December 2013 for possession of the land has been obtained from the County Court today.
“Residents expect us to protect the town’s green spaces and uphold the law and this is what we are doing.
“In the meantime we will continue to work with the Police and monitor the situation.”
