HARLOW resident, Catherine Johnson, is heading for the mountains next year for charity.
Catherine aims to scale the highest mountain in Britain, Ben Nevis in Scotland.
Catherine said: “In September next year I am trekking up Ben Nevis, the highest mountain in the British Isles, to raise money for Breast Cancer Care. I need to raise a minimum of £500 in sponsorship but I’d really like to help this charity get much more than that.
“I will be out collecting in the new year at various places in Harlow and I am also asking for pink items to sell, so I can raise some cash for this amazing charity!”

The Ben Nevis Challenge totals a little over nine miles of trekking (up the mountain and back down again) and after a day on the majestic mountain, you’ll certainly feel proud and inspired by what you have achieved.
Just imagine standing at the top of Ben Nevis looking over the beautiful Western Highlands – magnificent! But now imagine it again thinking about all the people affected by breast cancer you could help by getting there and it becomes even more amazing.
