Police renew appeal after Second Avenue death

POLICE are renewing their appeal for witnesses to a road crash in Harlow in which a man and his dog were killed.

The collision happened when Andrew Wiggins was struck by a lorry on Second Avenue shortly after 4pm on Monday, December 16. The 50-year-old man from Great Brays in the town was certified dead at the scene. He had been out walking his dogs at the time. One dog died in the crash while another was injured.

A section of the road was closed for approximately four hours while forensic collision investigators carried out their enquiries at the scene.
