RECENT stormy weather is set to continue at the Harlow Playhouse this Easter , as audiences are picked up and blown to the magical land of Oz. Featuring all the characters we know and love, Dorothy, Scarecrow, Tin Man and Lion will set off on a journey that will change them forever.
Harlow Playhouse has joined forces with Captiv8 Productions to create this new, laugh a minute Easter pantomime for the stage. With chart-topping songs, spectacular effects and belly-laughing comedy, the show is designed for all the family. The show includes one of the Playhouse’s most popular entertainers, Tom Swift, seen most recently in Aladdin, Beauty and the Beast, and Peter Pan.
Playhouse manager Scott Ramsay said “We really wanted to bring another Easter panto to Harlow and with Wizard of Oz we have a popular story with lots of possibilities. It’s going to be great fun and great value.”
Co-producer and star Tom Swift said “I absolutely love the Playhouse and am thrilled to be back working with the Playhouse team on this exciting project. Audiences are going to love it.”
The Wizard of Oz plays at Harlow Playhouse from Monday 7th to Sunday 13th April (tickets range from £13 to £17), then tours to Tunbridge Wells Victoria Hall from Wednesday 16th to Monday 21st April.
