STRUGGLING for ideas to keep the little ones entertained this Easter – without breaking the bank? Fear not – The Harvey Centre, Harlow’s top shopping destination, is launching its first ever Kids’ Club.

Complete with new mascot, Harvey The Hippo, the Harvey Centre Kids’ Club will launch on 19 April with a host of free Easter workshops and activities – and continue with a programme of fun and educational events throughout the year.

On Saturday 19 April, from 10am to 3pm, children can make edible treats, such as cupcakes and brownies, to take home in a chocolate sensation workshop or get crafty, making bonnets, cards and masks, with an Easter-themed arts and crafts workshop. Little ones will love looking for clues all around the centre as they take part in the Easter treasure hunt, led by the one and only Easter Bunny, and becoming their favourite character or animal with free face painting.

Every child who attends one of the Easter events can sign up for a free membership card and will receive a welcome bag, filled with goodies.

In addition, The Harvey Centre is also hosting an Easter treats competition throughout the holiday. Launching on Saturday 5 April until Saturday 19 April, shoppers of all ages are invited to guess how many sweet treats (provided by Wilko) are inside the specially-branded plinth. The shopper that guesses the closest will win the entire contents.

Bryan Young, Manager at The Harvey Centre, said: “Easter is a time for family fun – so we thought it was the perfect occasion to launch our very first Kids’ Club. We know that lots of families are looking for fun and exciting ways to entertain the children during the school holidays, so hopefully, here at The Harvey Centre, we have provided a good solution.

‘Good luck to everyone taking part in our Easter treats competition too. The lucky winner is certainly going to have a very sweet Easter!”
