A WOMAN was taken to hospital after an alleged attack in Puffers Green in Harlow.

Essex Police were called at just after 1.30pm on Monday June 23rd to the Puffers Green area near to the Clock Tower on Second Avenue.

On arrival they found a woman in her twenties in the bushes nearby.

The woman was suffering from a head injury.

She was transferred to Princess Alexandra Hospital where she was treated for several hours.

Enquiries are continuing.
