PARENTS looking for educational, as well as adventurous, day long activities for children this half term, need look no further than Essex Outdoors.

Essex Outdoors is running one day multi-activity days from Monday 27 October until Friday 31 October for children aged eight years and above for just £30 per child (or book four days and get the fifth free).

The four centres, Bradwell, Danbury, Harlow and Mersea, offer over 30 activities and during the course of a day children will be able to experience up to four, which could include activities such as abseiling, archery, bushcraft, canoeing, climbing, high ropes, orienteering, mountain biking, sailing and zipwire.

The centres are inspected and approved by the Adventurous Activities Licensing Service (AALS) and parents can be assured that their children are taking part in adventurous, challenging and educational activities in a safe and secure environment.

For more information, visit www.essexoutdoors.com or call the centres direct, Bradwell – 01621 776256, Danbury – 01245 223342, Harlow – 01279 620270 or Mersea – 01206 383226.

Cllr Roger Hirst, Cabinet Member for Libraries, Communities and Planning, said: “The outdoor environment inspires children to learn and test themselves in a number of differing ways including developing their confidence, self-awareness and social skills. This is a great opportunity for children in Essex to experience such challenging and exciting activities which are on their doorstep.”
