Ryman Div One North

Soham Town Rangers 0 v 1 Harlow Town

HARLOW Town opened up a vital six point lead at the top of the table with a hard-earned 1-0 victory against Soham Town Rangers.

Soham are one of many teams in this league, like Aveley and Thurrock that just seem unable to put a consistent run together in the league.

The outcome of this league may well be decided by which team can simply hold their nerve as opposed to an amazin unbeaten run.

Harlow took the lead in the 13th minute when league top-scorer Alex Read burst into the penalty box, slid the ball for Jared Small to tap home into the open net from three yards.

Harlow had their keeper, Ed Thompson to thank for a number of impressive saves throughout the match.

Harlow’s next match is away at Thurrock on Sat Jan 24th.
