CHILDREN were evacuated from school and marched to the train station.

Wearing name badges and carrying suitcases, the Year 6 pupils from Roydon Primary School, in Epping Road, lived out the emotional walk children in WWII would have experienced.

Claire Dennis, Year 6 teacher, said: “This gave children a better understanding of the emotions experienced by evacuees and their families.”
