Man robbed by three in the Hides

DETECTIVES are hunting three men who assaulted a man and tried to rob him.

The victim, a 26-year-old man from Harlow, was walking through The Hides in Harlow at around 3pm on Monday June 15 when he was approached by the three suspects.

He was struck to the side of the face by one of the men and the trio then tried to steal jewellery from him before assaulting him further.

The suspects then fled the area. Officers attended the scene and the victim was taken to Harlow’s Princess Alexandra Hospital where he received treatment for minor injuries to his face.

DETECTIVES are now investigating the attempted robbery and are appealing for any witnesses.

The suspects were all men, two are described as black while the third man was of mixed race. All three were wearing dark clothing.
