Appeal after motorbike crashes in Harlow leaves riders wither serious injuries

ESSEX Police have appealed for witnesses after three people were injured in a motorbike crash at Harlow.

Officers were called to Edinburgh Way at about 11.20pm, on Sunday August 16 following reports that two motorcycles had collided near to the junction with Howard Way.

Two riders and a pillion passenger, all from the Waltham Abbey area, were found to have serious injuries and all were taken to Princess Alexandra Hospital.

A man aged in his 30s, who had been riding a blue Honda 500, was later transferred to Addenbrooke’s Hospital with leg, pelvis and other injuries. His condition remains serious.

The other bike was a red Honda 125 ridden by a man in his 20s and a woman also in her 20s who was a pillion passenger. Both were treated for leg injuries.

The road was cleared at about 5am after initial police investigations and enquiries are continuing. One rider has been reported for a motoring offence.
