Appeal after woman victim of attempted robbery in Bishopsfield

ESSEX Police are appealing for witnesses to an attempted robbery in Bishopsfield, Harlow.

A 25-year-old woman from Harlow was approached by a teenage boy at 3.30pm on Monday, September 21 as she was trying to get her daughter out of her car.

He pushed from behind, causing her to fall into the car, and tried to take her mobile phone from her hand.

He ran off empty-handed towards Bishopsfield Park.

The suspect was described as white, aged between 14 and 16 years old and 5ft 6ins tall. He was of small build, had sunken eyes with dark circles, and wore a white and grey hooded jacket with the hood up, black trousers and black shoes. He carried a black drawstring bag.

Anyone with information is asked to call Pc Charlotte Bond at Harlow CID on 101.
