Plans for the old Passmores school site

A FORMER Harlow secondary school site may be brought back into use to meet the growing demand for places.
Essex County Council is planning to open a new secondary school on the 25-acre site in Tendring Road, which used to be home to Passmores School until it relocated to a new state-of-the-art in Tracyes Road in September 2011.
Essex County Council said it intends to open the school, which will take 240 children a year, in September 2018.
County councillor Ray Gooding, cabinet member for education and lifelong learning, said: “As part of our planning for school places for the next 10 years, we intend to open a new secondary school on the former Passmores site for up to 240 children a year from September 2018.”
“Further details, including the cost, are not yet known and currently being explored,” he added.
Another example of brilliant Essex CC thinking! Close Brays Grove, move Passmores, then reopen the old Passmores as - well Brays Grove perhaps?! Well done! Truly staggeringly ridiculous!
