THE Harvey Centre is searching for Harlow residents that turn 90 in 2016 to join them as they host an afternoon of traditional celebrations to coincide with the Queen’s 90th Birthday celebrations at the Horse Guards Parade in London on Saturday 11th June.

Family and friends can nominate their favourite 90-year-olds on The Harvey Centre’s website, Facebook and Twitter pages.

Customers are invited to join them from 12.30pm for a traditional afternoon tea supplied by Tesco and Couzens Bakery with special gifts for the 90 year old guests, ballroom dancing and entertainment from Harlow Choir until 3.30pm.

Free flags will be handed out to shoppers so they can embrace the patriotic spirit and pose with cardboard cut-outs of her Majesty for a celebratory selfie.

There will also be free fun for the kids with tiara and crown making, face painting and a ‘pin the nose on the corgi’ competition as well as a treasure hunt around the centre, so it will be an afternoon of celebrations for all generations.

The centre will be decorated with bunting supplied and created by the Phoenix Centre and lit in the patriotic colours of the Union Jack.

Bryan Young, Centre Manager at The Harvey Centre says, “We are really excited to be hosting our very own Royal tea party at The Harvey Centre. It’s a great way for the whole family to celebrate the achievement of our Monarch and members of their own families who have achieved this milestone birthday.”

So if you know someone who is turning 90 this year, get in touch with The Harvey Centre, so that you can enjoy the celebrations in all their glory.
