HARLOW Running Club competed in the Midweek League Road Race Mob Match last
Thursday, a race involving runners from both divisions of the league, over a two
lap course at Welwyn Garden City. After the race there was a Midweek League
presentation ceremony in which HRC picked up two individual Division 2 series
awards. Sharon Wright won the Ladies Vet 35 award and John Tennant was runner up
in Vet 60 category. In the Mob Match race Afewerk Rossom finished in 15th place
out of 289 finishers in an excellent 36min 19sec, He was followed by Andy
Terrell 70th in 39.59, Craig Segal 139th in 43.43, Jon Steadman 154th in 44.53
and John Bull 167th in 45.36. In the ladies race Sharon Wright finished in 17th
place out of 170 finishers in 43min 22sec, She was followed by Debbie Barry 97th
in 53.14, Janice Page 101st in 53.40, Louise Cootes 102nd in 53.41 and Karen
Moir 118th in 55.26.

Meanwhile at the Newham 10K, which finishes in the Olympic Stadium, Martyn
Coulter finished in 447th place out of 8761 finishers in 45min 26sec. He was
followed home by Paul Schroder 1058th in 50.03, Wendy Spring 2228th in 55.04,
Mark Moulds 2371st in 55.37, Debbie Barry 3865th in 60.44, Terry Pike 4331st in
62.32 and Jeff Mace 6608th in 72.44.

At the multi-terrain Stansted 10K Jamie Jephcott finished in 10th place out of
213 finishers in 42min 51sec. He was followed by Daniel Jephcott 22nd in 46.21,
Gary Godfrey 29th in 47.47, Jon Steadman 33rd in 48.31, Paul Dixon 43rd in
50.00, Vicky Steadman 48th in 50.18 and Melanie Harris 175th in 74.33.

At the Harlow parkrun 5K John Bull finished in 12th place out of 148 finishers
22min 46sec. He was followed by Paul Schroder 23rd in 24.08, Andy Smith 25th in
24.19, Graham Saville 26th in 24.48, Wendy Spring 34th in 26.21, Robin Lozeau
45th in 27.33, Debbie Barry 65th in 28.54, Darren Tiley 66th in 28.54, Louise
Cootes 68th in 29.05 and Hossein Erfani 85th in 32.01.

At the Torrens parkrun 5K in Adelaide, South Australia, Owen Haigh finished in
15th place out of 225 finishers in an excellent 19min 46sec and Jason Haigh was
17th in 20.12.

At the Hackney Marshes parkrun 5K Terry Ridge finished in 16th place out of 162
finishers in a personal best time for the distance (PB) of 19min 46sec. He was
followed by Martyn Coulter 27th in 20.20 (PB) and Catherine Ridge 36th in 21.16
(PB).

At the Gunpowder parkrun 5K at Waltham Abbey Jamie Luck finished in 10th place
out of 127 finishers in 22min 04sec and Austin Nyamande was 63rd in 28.32.

At the Walthamstow parkrun 5K Spencer Brooks finished in 16th place out of 79
finishers in 23min 40sec.

At the Chelmsford parkrun 5K David Page finished in 185th place out of 512
finishers in 25min 36sec and Janice Page was 193rd in 25.56.

At the Hoddesdon parkrun 5K Michelle Hyde finished in 17th place out of 65
finishers in 26min 02sec.
