Judo: Who were the winners in the Harlow Red Belt rumble?

Red RumbleHARLOW Judo Club held its own Red Belt Rumble competition at Foldcroft, Harlow. There was challenging competition from other Club’s travelling from as far as Basildon to Bishops Stortford to Berkshire and London, to attend this low level Beginner’s grade event.

Harlow Judo Club entered 9 of its young players ranging from 8 to 10 years old, with a few of them being novice grades (beginners) to 3rd mon grades. Competition was very good from the other clubs but Harlow returned triumphant with Sam Cobbin-Brown (8) and Charlie Armstrong (9) claiming Gold medals, Macey Brown (8), Kenzie Deamer (10), George Franks (9) and Seth Horsley (9) Silver medals and Henry Pask (8) Albert Chamberlain (8) and Irvin Camara (9) coming away with Bronze medals.

Senior Coach, Mick Ellis along with Assistant Coach, Sarah Brown, encouraged the young team players and put all their training into practice and overall, were extremely pleased with how well they did at this event, for some, this being their first competition.
