STEWARDS Academy opened its doors for the second time in less than a week for its annual Open Evening on Tuesday 20th September.
Prospective students flocked with their parents to explore all the wonderful things on offer and to find out more about our recent Royal visit.
It is always a pleasure to meet our visitors on Open Day and Evening and this year was no exception. The hall was full to the rafters as visitors amassed to hear Headteacher Ms Murthar’s speech and those of nine year 7 students. Seven of the students spoke about the things they have participated in since joining Stewards and what they are looking forward to doing this year. The other two students shared their thoughts and feelings on the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s visit the week before.
All of the students who spoke and prefected throughout the day were an absolute credit to the school. It is wonderful to see how quickly the year 7 students have settled in and how confident they are already.
Ms Murthar said: “We received really positive feedback from prospective parents and visitors who are always impressed by the welcome they receive from our students and by how knowledgeable and proud they are of Stewards.”
