FOUR young players from Harlow Judo Club travelled to High Wycombe to compete in a Northern Home Counties Mini Mon, Novice to Yellow Belt competition held at High Wycombe.
Ralfy Webb (9) and George Franks (10) both came away with Bronze medals whilst Owen Lambert (11) and Fionn Healy (11) each took home Silver medals. George and Owen both went up to their next respective weight groups but for Owen, despite coming up against the eventual winner in the finals and giving away nearly 4 kgs, managed to secure the Silver medal. An error made by the youngster cost him the Gold medal.
Coach Mick Ellis said “My young squad could have all done better today, however it was a good result.”
Harlow Judo Club also caters for those with special needs and has a Coach specifically in this area. For more details, contact the Club, who are based in Foldcroft, Harlow.
