Cracked

ON TUESDAY night, a new play by Harlow writer, Carly Godfrey-Bridger makes its debut at the Harlow Playhouse.

YH asked Carly to tell us a little about the play.

Carly said: ‘Cracked’ is my second shot at playwriting and a joint venture with Contexture Theatre having won their ‘Write Here, Write Now’ competition last year. Since winning, I developed it into a full length play working alongside them.

‘Cracked’ follows Ellen, a very challenging, rebellion inciting new patient in a psychiatric ward. The play has underlying themes that look at Big Pharma, ‘The Establishment’ and the current state of mental health care in the UK.

Tuesday’s performance at Harlow Playhouse is ‘Pay What You Can’, and booking is essential.
