Little Ruby saves the day for Heath Players!

Award winning theatre group, “Heath Players” from Hatfield Heath were still looking for a leading lady with less than a week to go before
their latest production.

Joe DiPietro’s play “The Last Romance” calls for a dog to take a small but vital role and appeals in the village magazine and on social media
the group had come to nothing.

Rehearsals had continued using a toy dog Rubyuntil member Jaki Newman used her contacts to come up with Ruby a
rescued dog who fitted the bill perfectly.

Director Tony Saxby said “I was always confident that we’d find a dog but Ruby has arrived just in time. The human actors have all been
working so hard and to have the last piece in the jigsaw is great.”

Curtain up is at 8pm in Hatfield Heath Village Hall on 15-18
March.

Ruby 3Tickets (£10 & £8 concessions) are available from the Village Post
Office, 01279 730544 and www.ticketsource.co.uk/heathplayers.
