Athletics: Ready to motor at Silverstone

HARLOW Running Club were represented at the Adidas Silverstone Half Marathon,
run on the historic motor racing circuit and organized by the team responsible
for the world famous Virgin London Marathon. While several club members managed
one of the water stations en route, eight runners completed the course. Jason
Haigh was first home in 349th place out of 6690 finishers in an excellent time
of 1hr 32min 13sec. He was followed by Ryan Smith 660th in 1.37.54, Nick D’Alton
809th in a 1.40.09 (PB), Mark Ramsey 1210th in 1.44.44, Liam Boylan 1836th in
1.50.46, Kerry Mavris 2021st in 1.53.32 (PB), Debbie Smith 3124th in 2.01.29 and
Carmen Byfield 5105th in 2.22.58.

Meanwhile at the North London Half Marathon, starting and finishing at Wembly
Stadium, Dionne Jones finished in 777th place out of 5806 finishers and 2nd
Female Vet 45 in 1hr 41min 42sec.

At the Finchley 20 Mile race Sam Carter finished in a PB time of 2hr 54min

Several runners completed various parkruns on Saturday morning.

At Harlow Andrew Kitson finished in 3rd place out of 174 finishers in a PB time
of 19m 31sec. He was followed home by Danny McCree 4th in 19.41, Craig Segal 5th
in 19.44, Darren Tiley 8th in 20.30, Terry Ridge 19th in 22.55, Andy Smith 20th
in 22.59 (PB), Catherine Ridge 23rd in 23.20, John Bull 27th in 23.41, Graham
Saville 28th in 23.50, Paul Dixon 29th in 23.57, Darren Rautenbach 32nd in
24.13, Spencer Brooks 33rd in 24.16, Mark Moulds 37th in 24.50, Alan Cootes 43rd
in 25.12, Viola Tam 49th in 25.40, Debbie Barry 52nd in 25.54, Andrew Smith 55th
in 26.176, Louise Cootes 56th in 26.30, Alan Wellbelove 65th in 27.55, Jane
Evans 67th in 28.00, Michelle Hyde 70th in 28.07, David Morley 77th in 28.35,
Peter Mills 86th in 29.43, Andy Kinney 90th in 30.12, Austin Nyamande 111th in
31.54, Hossein Erfani 112th in 31.58, Lorraine Teale 128th in 34.09 (PB) and
Debbie Cooper 142nd in 35.25.

At Tooting Common Rob Lowe finished in 2nd place out of 471 finishers in 17min

At Barking Martyn Coulter finished in 2nd place out of 97 finishers in 19min

At Luton Ben Chitiyo finished in 12th place out of 300 finishers in 20min 02sec.

At Hatfield Forest Martin McColgan finished in 46th place out of 225 finishers
in 24min 03sec and Justin Patten was 167th in 31.08.

At Boston Jim Bates finished in 29th place out of 127 finishers in 25min 29sec.

At Gt Yarmouth Teresa Holden finished in 160th place out of 313 finishers in
28min 03sec (PB).

At Hoddesdon Lorraine Knight finished in 38th place out of 73 finishers in 29min
