Holy Cross Children sing for the Commonwealth
TWELVE children from Holy Cross Catholic Primary Academy, have been chosen to join the Commonwealth Youth Choir.
On Monday 13th March, Commonwealth Day, they joined the other children in the choir and the Cold Stream Guards to sing at Horse Guards Parade to commemorate the start of Commonwealth week and Her Majesty The Queen’s Sapphire Jubilee.
On Tuesday 14th March, 2 children from the choir were invited to sing with the Commonwealth Orchestra at Lancaster House for a reception of Commonwealth Dignitaries, including His Highness Prince Albert Esiri of Nigeria, This was an unforgettable event for the children, of whom we are extremely proud.
All the children thoroughly enjoyed this experience and are looking for to their next performance on Saturday 22nd April at Cadogan Hall, at the St George’s Day Concert.
I would like to congranulated the twelve pupils from Holly cross school for being chosen to sing in the commonwealth youth choir. Enjoy the experience and have fun. From Cllr Dan Long
