New Headteacher Announced for Stewards Academy

AFTER over 27 years of committed service, with a relentless drive to ensure pupils get the very best educational experience, the Headteacher of Stewards Academy, Rhonda Murthar will be retiring this summer.

The Governing Body of Stewards Academy is pleased to announce the appointment of the new Headteacher, for September: Helen Ginger (BSc Mathematical Sciences – First-class Honours). Mrs Ginger has worked at the Academy for over 15 years rising through the ranks, from Learning Support Assistant through to Head of Maths; then Deputy Head; and now, her new appointment.

The Chair of Governors, Jeff Tarling said: ‘We are delighted with our new appointment and are confident that the high quality of care for each and every one of our pupils will be maintained under Mrs Ginger’s leadership. ’

Mrs Ginger said: ‘I am very excited and feel highly privileged to be the next Headteacher of Stewards Academy. Stewards is a very special place and I very much look forward to working with our amazing team of hardworking and committed staff, as their Headteacher. As a mother of five, I know how important it is to parents that their children not only leave with excellent examination results, but their schooldays are also enjoyable and filled with a wealth of opportunities. ‘
