AFTER an eleven year absence, league bowlers from Harlow Bowl competeted for the title of Harlow tenpin bowling champion on Sunday 23 April.

The fourteen bowlers played three games using the usual handicap system. Harlow’s Graham Peacher came out on top, with a handicap series of 601, followed by Jean Taylor who had 578. In third place was former Harlow Youth Club member Dale Hunter who bowled 575.

The high handicap game was rolled by Sawbridgeworth’s John Howard who scored 234.

It is hoped that this event will again be held annually in the future.
